Entry 13

Since last week I've been watching Olympic Games on satelite ...
Our satelite is on, everyday on this channel ...
It's reallyyyyyyyy fantastic...
I enjoy nearly all the games except judo and boxing ...The most beautiful parts which I really enjoy are gymnastics , swimming & diving esp. those of women ...
Wowwwwww... fabulous...

They stand at the edge of the diving board , sometimes with their back to the pool , they stand in a way that you think they will fall right now, then they concentrate ( and I think the only thing that lets them do such a hard job is just concentration and nothing else ) , then they start to jump along with balancing beautifully and amazingly and then they go straight to the bottom of water and come out like a fish... I really admire them ...
And I see the progress of human in sports along with his progress in other things such as science and technique...
Congratulations on all of their activities !!!!!!!!!!

Entry 12

According to an article in a newspaper, Saddam Hossein, like the other high level prisoners in the world , is being kept in a 3 in 4 meters cell ...
In this cell there is a fan ... he writes poems and reads the Koran ...
Every morning he has a full and standard breakfast ... everyday he has two courses of food containing fish , chicken and veal ...
He has oranges, apples, and American cookies & biscuits for dessert ...
He has also access to the bathroom , barber's , toothbrush , shampoo , soap , comb and body deodorants ...
He exercises in his cell , and he also gardens and plants flowers in the garden of the prison in his free time ...
According to this article , when you see his behaviour , you cannot believe that he is one of of the cruelest men in the world who is responsible for the heaviest crimes against human ...
While reading the text , the only picture that came to my mind was the picture of a lion who tears and devours the poor lambs or deer, eats them hungrily, and then sits calmly, pets his babies and does his own job, as if nothing has happened ..
Saddam, to my opinion , has nothing within himself now except an animal passion and instinct ...

Entry 11

This is the burning rule of man
which turns the grape into wine
the coal into fire
the kiss into human.
This is the harsh rule of man
to survive
the war, the misery
the countless dangers.
This is the gentle rule of man
which changes water to light
dreams to reality
foes to friends.

Entry 10

Last week I watched a documentary by Michael Moore on TV ...

I love him & his ideas ...
Brave and intellectual like Noam Chomsky , he criticizes his society as well as his government very well ...
There are really a few people who dare to critisize their society and their governors honestly ...
Anyway , his programme was about the violence in the US ...
He showed some films from the horrifying murder in a school in Atlanta which happened a few years ago ...
He interviewed people and asked them if they kept guns in their house ... most of the people did ...
When he asked people about the cause of the violence there , most of them believed it's because of the existance of guns in most of the families , and also the high violence shown in the films ...
In his programme there were also pictures of the white cops who behaved violently towards the Black People they arrested ... so I think the discrimination between Black and White still exists ...
In the end , he said that according to statistics, the highest number of people who are killed and murdered each year in the world is in Germany and they are about 165 people ...
This becomes less in other countries ...
But in the US this number is about 11.000 people each year ...

Entry 8

I reallyyyyy feel tired ... it's just because I woke up soon this morning ... it's soon for me ... not for others ... I woke up with great difficulty at 8:30 !
Of course I got up twenty minutes later...
Anyway, the classes were good today. The students , esp. in my second class , who are between 11 & 13 were happy , because the institute is closed on Thursday ...
They wanted me to assign less homework for them and I didn't accept ... then they accepted that I assign less homework for them than their teacher did last term ... Today's lesson was interesting ... it was about the process through which a bug becomes a caterpillar and then a butterfly ...
This evening I'm supposed to meet one of my relatives who is actually one of my best friends as well ... she lives in Canada and has come here to stay for 40 days ...

Entry 7

I look at her ...

I have nothing to say...
She's an African refugee ...
I really suffer when I see the pain and pressure in her face ... when I see there is no way to choose ... no way to escape ... nothing to decide ... and nothing to live for ... and there is still something that makes us choose life ... with all its pressure ...

Entry 6

It's not a long time we've started living in this confusing world of communication and information ... From morning till night wherever we are, we can hear the most recent news about whatever subject we may imagine ...we can watch , read and hear it at the same time on TV, satelite, internet , radio, newspapers , magazines , books , etc. ...
Choosing one of them is really difficult and sometimes we may become mad ...
Even if we choose one of them to get the news from , satelite for instance , we'll get more confused , because now we don't know which channel to choose ...
And it's the same for the rest of them: hundreds of sites on the internet ... lots of newspapers ...
And my problem is DOUBLE , because I like to read and listen in both English and Farsi ...
On the whole , I think we're always behind ...
I don't know ... Are we really behind? ...
The picture of man in this world is like the one who is just running and running fast to get somewhere and never arrives ...
He just finds , bites and chews, without having time to swallow and enjoy what he has found ...
I've come to this conclusion that if we don't direct ourselves towards a certain goal and if we can't find and choose whatever we want among this huge pile and store of communication and information , we'll drown in this ocean !!!

Entry 5

They say he had gone there ... to the other side of the road... to pick up some plants...
They had told him a lot not to go ... because it was late and they were expected at a dinner party that night ...
But ... yes it was late !
He went ... and went forever ... and never picked up any plants ... instead , nature picked him up ...
