The age of technology ... and mainly computers ...

In the past we used to have albums for our photos ... a simple tape recorder to listen to music ... lots of cassettes ... there was no fear of losing them ... the albums safe in the cupboard ... the tape recorder on the table ...

Now they're all in a box called computer with the everyday threat of viruses attacking them if there is any problem with the installed anti-virus ... and that's what happened to my laptop before going to London ...

I don't know what happened ... but it stopped turning on & everything disappeared ... fortunately thinking that this might happen one day, I had put all the photos and films in an external hard disk, but not my music ...

I had chosen the best for myself and I'm glad my friend helped ... they hadn't been vanished ...

Everybody has this problem. Nowadays, the storage on hard disk is all the rage. But this think can break down. It is hard to imagine that such disk turning at 7000 per minute will be still alive in let's say ten years' time.

Best might be to store on good quality CD's and make a copy.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. Did you have a look at the colored world map right on top? It shows where visitors come from. Quite funny, very interesting, I wonder whether you can install the same here.

Technology grows faster than us.
I lost twice my data not because of viruses but because of hardware failure.
I keep all my data now On DVD on periodical schedule, you can try that too
