Entry 54

The day before the election is not a good day ... I mean it's depressing ... at least for me ...because I'm not sure if the candidate I support will win the election or not, esp. this year in which there are lots of people who don't support reformation as they used to do 4 years ago by voting Khatami ...
They seem to think that reformation in this way has no result; therefore, they are not going to vote the reformist candidate ...
I don't know what will happen ...
I'm just waiting and praying ...

Dear Chackavak,Well, this is the new president. Khatami taught us how to be and this is WE who have to teach this new president how to be! The REALITIES overcome to us and we have to accept them. As we have to accept the new president as a reality, HE, too has to accept US as a Civilized Iranian people who are above his level. So, being in touch with us and working with us he learns democracy and gains himself.

Bonjour Chackavak, Here we have the custom to give the new government - especially the one you don't like - a hundred days' breathing time. May be you are bound for some surprises, even good ones, why not, who knows?
Cheers
Georg

I don't know anything about the Iranian election system, but I will add my prayers that the outcome will be for the best both for your country and the world.
I'm sorry I've been scarce lately, it's just been a little crazy. I just wanted you to know I've thought of you recently.
